Top Health Concerns For Children in 2008
What would you say are the biggest health concerns facing our children today?
In April 2008, the University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital’s National Poll on Children’s Health asked adults to rate 20 different health concerns for children living in their communities. Below are the top ten children’s health concerns rated as a “big problem” in 2008.
- childhood obesity
- drug abuse
- smoking
- bullying
- Internet safety
- child abuse and neglect
- teen pregnancy
- alcohol abuse
- ADHD, sexually transmitted infection (tied)
- chemicals in the environment
