Ty Pennington Gets a Lift

Imagine driving down a lonely stretch of road at night. You spot a car pulled off to the side. You take a closer look and see Ty Pennington, host of the popular ABC television show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” He is alone and in need of help.

This is exactly what happened to Dianne Grassley and her 16-year-old daughter, Colleen. Luckily for Pennington, Colleen recognized him and her mother pulled the car over to help. Pennington had run out of gas. He was filming an episode of Extreme Makeover about 10 miles away. The Grassleys took him to get gas for his Chevy Suburban and he posed for a cell phone picture with Colleen.

Pennington is a strong supporter of ADHD awareness, education and support. He has ADHD himself.

Okay, fess up. Anyone else out there ever run out of gas? It can certainly happen! I've never run completely out, but I did get down to where the "miles to go until empty" gauge read 2 miles. I was so relieved to get to a gas station before running out.
