Predictable Solutions for Challenges With ADHD Medication

Tuesday September 29, 2009

Medication, when appropriate, can be very effective in helping a person manage his or her ADHD symptoms. Finding the most effective medication at the optimal dosage for you as an individual, however, may take a little tweaking and adjustment. Educating yourself and working in partnership with your doctor can make this process a little bit easier. The more you know, the more informed decisions you can make. Knowing about some of the solutions to common challenges individuals experience with their ADHD medications can help.

Dr. Charles Parker, Medical Director of CorePsych, has made available a complimentary resource guide that can help you work with your doctor to find medication solutions. Click on the link below to view and print this guide.

Keath,
Many thanks for including my Guide over here on your excellent collection of resources. Brain and body connections are so interesting and so many folks are refractory to meds, having problems from side effects to ‘poop out’ – just not working and always needing adjustments.

The good news is: new information continues to arrive daily about different treatment options. In our office we have been especially pleased to add the evaluation of neurotransmitter precursors to our neuroscience evidence. Costs are covered by most insurances, and complex presentations do turn up some interesting answers!

Thanks again,
Chuck
