The most common mood disorders include depression and bipolar disorder.

Symptoms of depression include feelings of hopelessness, fatigue, low energy, inability to concentrate, and disturbed thinking.

Individuals with bipolar disorder have extreme mood swings that vacillate between periods of intense highs and lows. During high swings behavior is similar to ADHD with hyperactivity, increased energy, impulsive behaviors and racing thoughts.
