- I am meeting with my son's new teacher to talk about how to help him at school this year. I have heard very positive things about this teacher and so that is good. I am also going to bring my son in to meet her before school starts and before the whole class comes in on "meet the teacher day"

TV and Computer Rules
- I have to admit that the TV and computer have been on more than I would have liked this summer. In preparation for starting school again, I have made stricter rules around their use and we are doing more reading. We also have a playdate scheduled with a new classmate. I hope it goes well.

Preparing for School
- We're working bedtime back to the earlier school bedtime. The boys are reading 10 books to earn another, as part of a summer reading program at a bookstore. We'll be practicing handwriting this week. We've cleaned out the house, gotten more organized in their room and elsewhere, for less stressful mornings. School supplies have been purchased. We've discussed any habits they've picked up over the summer, how the teachers might handle them, talked about class time and spending time with friends at school.
