Evaluating ADHD in Adults

Up until about 15 to 20 years ago, ADHD was considered a childhood condition that was generally “outgrown” by the teenage years. We now know that ADHD can span a lifetime with problematic symptoms that may persist past adolescence and throughout adulthood. But what if the ADHD was never diagnosed during childhood? What is the procedure for evaluating ADHD in adults?
